Phenomenal, I have been eating gyros here for over 30 years and now take my children and friends here. The best gyros, the best sauce and great service. No other gyro I've ever had comes close to even comparing , I've been searching...... no luck, worth the 45 minute drive from my house. I pray they stay in business for many many years to come and that the flavor never changes unless for the better, can't imagine anything better. Great fries also, but I love the gyros so much I won't try anything else. I'm sure everything is good, you must try!

This place was ok. They gave us a LOT of food for the Gyro Dinner Plate so that was pretty cool. After we ordered and was waiting on our food, an employee/owner was spraying degreaser EVERYWHERE! It was so bad, that I had to leave the establishment to wait for my food. Who does that!? I would have at least thought to save that form of cleaning until the place was closed for the day! The food was a little greasy but not bad. I would like to try the "big boy burger" though.

Went here for the first time last week. Got gyro And cheese sticks. Paid damn near $11. Not worth it. The cheese sticks were great, with the marinara. The gyro was mediocre for a place that specializes in gyros. I think the sauce was too thin. Nicky's gyro on Sibley still reign supreme for Chicago area. They also looked at me strange because I wanted sauce ACD onions on the bottom. It's not as messy that way.

This appeared to be a family ran business. The place is very modest and simple, not fancy or trendy by any means but the service is quick and accurate. The staff doesn't have the friendliest faces but are cordial and they give huge servings! I got a Jr gyro and couldn't eat it all. The prices are decent. I was in town for a short time visiting a friend. If/when I return to the Chicago area, I'd like to try other foods at T & G Gyros. I recommend this restaurant.

Love this place. The best service. The best people, and the best owner. The best gyros, subs, big baby cheeseburgers, etc.

We stumbled upon this place after the Hawks rally. We had to visit someone in the hospital and needed to eat. Let me tell you this place has the BEST gyros ever! I grew up in Chicago so I have had my share of gyros. The tzatziki sauce is so good! I highly recommend if your looking for a reasonable place for a gyro, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back.

A Blue Island staple! Gyros, Big Babies, Chicago Dogs, Pizza Puffs, Sub Sandwiches...what else could you possibly want?! Great apps including fries, fried mushrooms, mozz sticks, etc. Tacos, tamales, chicken sandwiches, and killer shakes round out some classic lunchtime/hangover cures. My childhood favorite was and will always be their Big Baby...double cheeseburger, historic grilled onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard; an instant classic. Stop in, grab a table, and relish in the sights, smells, and sounds, which are T&G's. P.S. No reservations, no waiters, and no party rooms. It's a classic walk-up and order Southside burger, gyro, and dog shop.

This is Blue Island's gem. The gyros are the best and I've tried quite a few. I will ALWAYS recommend this place for a fantastic gyro. Also love the chicken breast sandwich and pizza puffs!

Tasty and huge! The gyros were fantastic, and quickly cooked up. Would advise to ask for extra napkins, and go light on the onions. Not good for a first date! A must for the gyro fan.

Best Gyros ever. We have searched far and wide and can honestly make this claim. Their fries are good too, super skinny and lots of 'em. Same people have been working here most of my life and service is fast with no fluff. You can also call in orders, which is great.

I used to loooove the food here, its really good. I work in the area so I used to go here all the time until one day when I was paying for my order and the biggest cockroach anyone has ever seen came running across the counter. An employee smashed it on the counter like it was no big deal and the owner was upset when I asked for my refund!

I have been going here for years and the food is always consistently good. HUGE portions with the gyros and fries.

Growing up on the Island T & G's has been a part of nearly every Blue Islanders life for at least 30 years, it is what it is, great, cheap, fast food,. Nothing has changed since i was a kid, so obviously their doing something right! Everyone has different favs here, but my favorite has always been the Big Baby, double cheesepburger special which includes the best fries around and a drink, others claim they have the best Gyros, but i think differently. They also have a great Hotdog special which is worth its low price!

Most certainly a Blue Island staple! As everyone has mentioned the gyros rock and my personal favorite is the chicken Philly. The staff is swift and very friendly and always remembers me, as well as others it seems like (which is always a huge plus!) I would say if your in the "Island" and hungry for a greasy lunch this is the SPOT!

this place has THE best gyros you will ever eat. EVERY person in blue island has eaten here, or else you cannot call yourself a blue islander. i have been coming here since i was in 6th grade and they give you so much food for little money. other places simply fail in comparison. i had a gyro ONE time at nicky's in alsip. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS. ( all their food is nasty.) and i felt like i was cheating on t&gs cause i have gone there so much. the cucumber sauce is like crack- the best you will ever have. i highly recommend it if you want a cheap delicious gyro at a low key dive which can stay and dive and get away with it cause it is a blue island staple.

used to live in blue island: 96-97, and 99-2002. back when i was eating meat, the gyros were the SH*(. if you spaced out the meat, enough for SIX (6) sammiches. the greek salad is the best, hold the oil, MEGA amounts of vinegar dressing. i dont live near there anymore, and it is a drive from dupage county. would like to go back though.

Absolutely the best gyros I've ever eaten. I've tried others (Rosie's in Oak Lawn slightly compares...) and I find myself always comparing to T&G's. This is a Blue Island staple! I've been eating here since I was a kid - my Dad would take me as a treat - then we moved out of town when I was 10 and we always tried to find a gyros place like T&G's and couldn't! Luckily I live here now as an adult and get to have it right down the street. I can't believe I'm the first to review!

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.
